After completing the design of a $125,000 bathroom for the owner of the world’s largest surveying company, Sebastian decided he would not spend the rest of his life catering to the whims of the über rich. He grew up in Singapore and began his career as an architect in Hong Kong. But his search for a vocation that would help people brought him to America where he garnered more degrees and assisted as a lay leader in churches.
In 1999 he sensed the Lord’s call to serve as a shepherd for God’s children. He enrolled at Princeton Theological Seminary and earned his Master of Divinity degree and the Mary Long Greir-Hugh Davies Prize in Preaching in 2001. After devoting himself as Associate Pastor of Christian Education and Youth in a multi-ethnic congregation in New York City and as Senior Pastor at a church in the historic San Francisco Chinatown, Sebastian continues to live the dream of proclaiming the Gospel in the cradle of Chinese-American immigration by serving at FCBC in 2018.
In his spare time, Sebastian enjoys traveling to sacred buildings and sites and spending time there to pray and meditate. He is an avid reader, appreciates music, and loves being present for his family. He and his wife, Michelle, have two daughters – Marybeth and Catherine.

業餘時間，翁牧師喜歡旅行參觀神聖的建築和遺址，並在那裡度過祈禱和冥想的時間。他是一位狂熱的讀者，喜歡音樂，喜歡陪伴家人。他和他的妻子林明雪有兩個女兒–翁意然和翁思然。
